Cleveland Browns Mock Draft 3.0

                                                                                                   updated: March 5, 2012

1st Round- Morris Claiborne CB LSU

The Browns have to pass on RG3 and not even think about moving up, unless it was to get Andrew Luck from the Colts. Since, trading up for Luck is a long shot, we need to focus on improving our rush defense. Claiborne will be able to take some pressure of the linebackers, because he is good at defending the rush as well as the pass.

1st Round- Mike Adams OT Ohio State

"Big-framed and well-built with a big wingspan and very large hands." (Pro Football Weekly 2012 Draft Guide, 53) Adams preformed well at the Senior Bowl and has the talent to be a starter in the NFL. The Browns are in need of a right tackle and Adams could start there.

2nd Round- Brian Quick WR Appalachian State

"Perhaps the most talented and least-talked about receiver in the 2012 draft, the 6-4, 210-pound Quick has dominated at the FCS level and played well in the opportunities he had against FBS competition." (Lindy's Pro Football Draft, 33)

3rd Round- LaMichael James RB Oregon

"James is a smallish, instinctive back with natural run skills and a knack for finding daylight." (Pro Football Weekly 2012 Draft Guide, 26)

4th Round- Nigel Bradham OLB Florida State

"Extremely durable, tough, physically imposing, heat-seeking missile who blows up targets when in his sight and can become a star core special-teams performer and rotational backup with eventual starter potential." (Pro Football Weekly 2012 Draft Guide, 99)

4th Round- DeVier Posey WR Ohio State

"Good quickness off the line. Has size and quickness to get off NFL press. Generally reliable receiver capable of making difficult catches in traffic over the middle or one on one down the sidelines." (Lindy's Pro Football Draft, 30)

5th Round- Russell Wilson QB Wisconsin

"Russell Wilson is raw as can be, but I've warmed up to him. He is going to play in the league. He's really improved throwing the ball." (Pro Football Weekly 2012 Draft Guide, 23)

6th Round- Levy Adcock OT Oklahoma State

The Browns need to draft Levy, because he could turn into a solid right guard for the team. By the Browns moving him inside he would be able to take advantage of his strength.

7th Round- Jerrell Young S South Florida

"Has good straight-line speed and foot quickness. An attacking run defender who won't shy from contact, holding his own at the point of attack. Aggressive hitter who looks to finish. Has big, strong hands and an intense on-field demeanor. Experienced, confident, hard-working, and tough-minded with a high tolerance for injuries." (Lindy's Pro Football Draft, 83)
